Conversations are counted only on AI-serve — a shopper opening the widget without asking anything doesn't burn quota, and conversations that hand off to your team don't count either. The quota resets monthly; top-ups (+500 for $25, +2,000 for $75, +5,000 for $150) are available when you need more headroom.
Shopper identity is stored as a hashed visitor_id — no plaintext emails, phones, or IPs ever enter the AI context. The agent's behavior is configured through a Template Builder (brand voice, shipping and returns policies, escalation rules), with a render-time scope guard that keeps one store's agent from ever retrieving another store's data.
The agent runs on Claude Haiku at launch, with a Sonnet upgrade shipping in v1.2. Multi-language support is on the roadmap.
